Terms & conditions
The short version: you must be 18 or over. Seeds are sold strictly as collectable souvenirs โ germinating them in the UK is a criminal offence without a Home Office licence, and we will not supply anyone we believe intends to cultivate. We deliver to the UK only, in plain unbranded packaging. You have 14 days to cancel an unopened order. If anything arrives faulty or wrong, we will always put it right.
1. Who you are buying from
This website, buycannabisseeds.co.uk, trades as Buy Cannabis Seeds and Seed Semillia, and has done since 2010. The site is operated by:
- Raplin Ventures Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales
- Company number 17276917
- Registered office: 71โ75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ
References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Raplin Ventures Ltd. References to "you" mean the person placing the order.
We are an online-only business and do not operate a shop, showroom or collection point. The fastest way to reach us is our contact form, which reaches a monitored inbox and is normally answered within one working day.
2. About these terms
These terms apply to every order placed through this website, and to your use of the website itself. Please read them before ordering โ by placing an order you confirm that you accept them.
Our privacy policy, returns & cancellations policy and delivery information form part of these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page when you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
3. You must be 18 or over
We sell only to adults. By placing an order you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. We reserve the right to ask for proof of age and to refuse or cancel any order where we are not satisfied of it. It is an offence to buy these products on behalf of someone under 18.
4. What we sell, and the legal position
Ungerminated cannabis seeds contain no THC and are not a controlled substance in the United Kingdom. They are legal to buy, sell and own here, and we sell them strictly as collectable souvenirs and for the preservation of genetics.
Germination is a different matter. Under section 6 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971 it is an offence to cultivate any plant of the genus Cannabis in the UK without a licence from the Secretary of State. A germinated seed is a cannabis plant. Anyone committing an offence under that section may be fined, imprisoned, or both.
Accordingly, by ordering you confirm that:
- you are buying the seeds as souvenirs or collectables, and not to germinate or cultivate them;
- you will not germinate them in the United Kingdom;
- you are responsible for knowing and complying with the law where you live;
- you will not resell or send the seeds to any country where they are prohibited.
We will refuse or cancel any order where we have reason to believe the seeds are intended for cultivation, and we will not provide advice, instructions or encouragement relating to germination or growing. We do not publish cultivation guidance of any kind.
5. Strain descriptions and information
Where we publish information about a strain โ its lineage, breeder, characteristics or classification โ that information is supplied to us by the breeder or distributor and is reproduced for collector reference only. It is descriptive, not advice, and it is not an encouragement to germinate or cultivate.
We do not guarantee the accuracy of breeder-supplied information, and because we do not germinate seeds we cannot verify claims about how a plant would grow. Photographs and illustrations are for identification and are not a promise of any particular result.
We do not publish customer reviews or star ratings, because we hold none that are genuine. We would rather show nothing than invent them.
6. Placing an order
Adding items to your basket and completing checkout is an offer to buy, not a concluded contract. Our acknowledgement email confirms we have received your order; it does not accept it.
A contract is formed only when we confirm that your order has been picked and dispatched. If we cannot fulfil an order we will tell you and refund any payment in full.
You are responsible for the accuracy of the details you give us, particularly the delivery address. Please do not use false or unrecognisable names, as the postal service may be unable to deliver and we cannot be responsible for parcels lost as a result.
7. Prices, VAT and pricing errors
All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery is charged separately and shown clearly before you pay โ there are no fees added at the final step.
We work hard to keep prices accurate, but errors occasionally occur. If we discover an error in the price of something you have ordered, we will contact you before dispatch and give you the choice of continuing at the correct price or cancelling for a full refund. We are not obliged to supply at an incorrect price.
8. Payment
Payment is currently taken by bank transfer. After you place an order we email the payment details within four working hours and hold your seeds for 48 hours while payment is arranged. Orders are picked once payment has cleared.
We cannot reserve stock before payment is received. If payment does not arrive within the holding period, your order may be released.
We may add further payment methods, including card, in due course. Whichever method is used, we never see or store your card details.
9. Discount codes, free seeds and promotions
Where we offer a discount code:
- it is valid for one use only, and is tied to the email address it was issued to;
- it cannot be exchanged for cash or combined with other codes unless we say so;
- we may withdraw or amend any promotion at any time, though we will always honour codes already applied to an order placed before withdrawal.
Free seeds and promotional items are supplied subject to availability. If a specific freebie runs out we will substitute something of similar type and value, or contact you. Promotional items carry no cash value and are excluded from refunds unless faulty.
Please check that any promotional items you qualify for are in your basket before checking out.
10. Availability
We keep stock information as current as we can, and confirm availability with the breeder when we pick your order. Occasionally an item sells out between your order and our picking it. If that happens we will contact you to offer an alternative, a partial dispatch, or a full refund of the affected item.
11. Delivery
We deliver to the United Kingdom only.
We do not warehouse seeds for months. Every order is picked from breeder stock after you order, which takes 2โ3 working days, and is then sent by tracked Royal Mail โ typically 4โ5 working days in total. Delivery is ยฃ5.99, or free on orders over ยฃ75.
All orders are sent in plain, unbranded packaging. Nothing on the outside identifies the contents or us.
Delivery times are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees. Postal delays, weather and industrial action are outside our control. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
12. Parcels that do not arrive
If your parcel has not arrived within 10 working days of dispatch, contact us and we will investigate with the carrier. Please check with your neighbours and your local delivery office first, and check the tracking information we sent you.
Where a parcel is confirmed lost in transit, we will replace it or refund it, at your choice. Where tracking confirms delivery to the address you gave us, we cannot be responsible for what happens to it afterwards. Where a parcel is returned to us as undeliverable because of an incorrect or incomplete address, we will refund the goods but not the original delivery charge.
13. Cancellations and returns
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have the right to cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, and a further 14 days to return the goods.
That right applies to unopened, sealed breeder packs in their original condition. We do not offer change-of-mind refunds on packs that have been opened, because an opened seed pack cannot be verified, resold or returned to the breeder and has no remaining value to us.
This does not affect your legal rights where goods are faulty, damaged, or not as described โ see section 14. Full details are in our returns & cancellations policy.
14. If something is wrong with your order
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods we supply must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described. If what you receive is faulty, damaged, incorrect or not as described, tell us within a reasonable time and we will put it right by replacement or refund. You will not be charged for return postage in those circumstances.
Because germination is unlawful in the UK, we cannot accept or investigate complaints based on whether a seed would have germinated, and no guarantee of germination is given or implied.
15. Our right to refuse an order
We may refuse or cancel any order, before or after acknowledgement, where:
- we believe the buyer is under 18;
- we believe the seeds are intended for cultivation, or for resale into a country where they are prohibited;
- the order appears fraudulent, or payment cannot be verified;
- an item is unavailable or incorrectly priced;
- supplying it would place us in breach of any law.
Where we cancel an order you have already paid for, we refund it in full.
16. Using this website
You may browse and use this website for your own personal, lawful purposes. You must not attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, or extract its content by automated means, including scraping our catalogue or pricing.
All content on this site โ text, design, graphics, illustrations and our logo โ belongs to us or our suppliers and is protected by copyright. Breeder names, logos and trade marks remain the property of their respective owners and are used to identify the products we sell.
17. Your personal information
We collect only what we need to fulfil your order and to keep in touch about it. We do not sell your data. How we handle it, and your rights under UK GDPR, are set out in our privacy policy.
18. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded โ including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was made, for losses arising from your own use of the goods contrary to these terms or to the law, or for any business loss, since we supply to consumers for personal use.
Our total liability in connection with any order will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
19. Complaints
If something has gone wrong, please tell us through the contact form with your order reference and we will look into it. We aim to acknowledge complaints within one working day and to resolve them within 14 days.
20. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including postal disruption, supplier failure, extreme weather, fire, flood, civil unrest or changes in the law. Where such an event occurs we will contact you and, if the delay is substantial, you may cancel for a full refund.
21. General
If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. If we do not insist that you perform an obligation, or delay in enforcing our rights, that is not a waiver of them. A person who is not party to this contract has no right to enforce it.
We may transfer our rights and obligations under these terms to another organisation, and will tell you in writing if we do. Your rights will not be affected.
22. Governing law
These terms and any dispute arising from them are governed by the law of England and Wales, and are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you may bring proceedings in your own jurisdiction.
Legal notice: cannabis seeds are sold strictly as collectable adult souvenirs. It is illegal to germinate cannabis seeds in the UK without a Home Office licence. You must be 18 or over to purchase.
